This was our first show in Fort St. John, BC and it was a great time. Murdoch was his silly self but overall he showed very well for his second weekend out. He is a very happy boy and isn't afraid to say hi or give the judges a good wet kiss. In a six show weekend he was awarded 2 Best Puppy in Groups, 2 Best of Breed wins and a Group 4 placing. That was the most exciting thing I could have asked for! I'm very proud of Murdoch and I am having lots of fun with him. He now has 7 points towards his Canadian championship!
This was Murdoch's first show in Red Deer, Alberta and he did so well. We had a great weekend visiting with family and also with some people at the show. Murdoch was such a happy boy and nothing phased him. I'd say he had a great first experience. This was only my second weekend of handling rather than hiring it out and I think I did quite well. It's fun starting out with a silly puppy!
On day one Judge Barbara Dempsey Alderman awarded him Winners Male, Best of Winners, and then he went on to win Best Puppy in Group! Way to go little man! That was his first 3 points towards his championship. The next day we showed under Judge Francisco Chapa Guajardo (Dr) and we was Winners male again for 1 point. He was very silly and tired but the judge was able to appreciate his goofy attitude. The last day he showed beautifully for Judge Wendy Maisey but no points were awarded. It was another super weekend for myself and his breeder. We can't wait to get out again in May!
This was Jetta's third weekend out and it did us well! I wasn't able to attend the show so I sent her out with Terry Bernier, a well known handler from BC. The first day was amazing starting off with a Best of Breed win for Jetta under Judge Lee Anne Bateman. The second show on day one surprised us with another Best of Breed win and then a Group 2 under Honey Glendinning which finished her CKC Championship! It was a super day for us and for her breeder, Bill Frazier. The last 4 shows awarded her with a Best of Opposite Sex giving her 4 points towards her Grand Championship. Thank you to Terry and the judges for such a great weekend.
This was Jetta's second dog show! She has grown a lot of coat since her last show. I am so pleased with her! We had a great time with the ladies and other dogs we traveled with! The weather was amazing for January too. Jetta wasn't awarded any points on Friday or Saturday but Sunday was a super day! She got Winners female under Judge Michelle Scott and was also Best of Opposite Sex over Specials for another 2 points! I was more than pleased with that win especially because it was only her second show. She is currently sitting at 5 points.
Amber debuted in baby puppy and she did really well with her walking but she wasn't sure about the judge. She's just a baby so having her at the show and meeting so many people and other dogs was a lot for her to take in. She really did well though! It was a great weekend and I'm proud of my girls!
